Hello, Grandparents & Aunts! Today I am 8 weeks & 2 days old. Saturday will be my 2 month birthday and I think my parents are planning a cake for me (although I don’t know what benefit I’ll receive from it…). I’m not being weighed every week now, so I can’t give you an update on my weight this time. I suspect, however, that I have grown somewhat because I’m continuing to grow out of my clothes. I get teased about having so many clothes, but I’m growing so quickly that there are 000-sized clothes that I’m already growing out of! Last Saturday I had my immunisations. I didn’t mind them too much, but my Mum didn’t much like watching me have them. I had a needle in each leg, and some drops on my tongue (that’s the polio vaccine). I screamed after the first needle, but I was very brave for the second one and only shed a few little tears, which were quickly wiped away by my Dad.
On Saturday night my Grandma Maiden arrived down from Brisbane to visit me. She only stayed until this morning, but it was good to have some Grandma cuddles.
I’ve done alright in the cuddle department recently because I had an outing on Monday and got to cuddle both my Great Grandmothers, my Great Grandfather, my Grandad, one of my Great Aunts, as well as my Grandma M. What a day! ‘Tis great (ha ha ha) to have so many people fawning over me. I was looking very cute, so there were a number of photos taken of me, too, copies of which I’m sure will make their way into the mail fairly soon.
Mid last week my birth certificate arrived. Yay! I officially exist! I’d been waiting on that so I could apply for an Australian passport, which I did last Friday. It should be here in a couple of weeks’ time. I think I can get a Canadian passport, too, so I’ll have to get my Dad to look into that at some stage.
I’m smiling more and more now. I hope you all received the photo I emailed a couple of days ago which shows me grinning from ear to ear. Now if only I could smile on cue and for the paparazzi…
Lots and lots of love from Alex/ Fred/ The King xxx
